Pure Joy

This weekend I attended Pure Joy in Bolivar.  I am so thankful I was able to attend.  God met us there and I learned so many things.  The theme of Pure Joy was surfing.  They compared surfing to our relationship with Christ.  We need to go deeper with Christ and not just stick our feet in the water. We have got to learn to balance our lives, just like you have to balance on your surfboard. We have also got to remember that we are never riding solo.  The Creator of the Waves is right there with us when the BIG wave is staring us in the face.  At Pure Joy, they also talked about struggles that we hold onto like stones. We can't get anywhere in the ocean if we are holding on to our stones while paddling out to sea.  We will just keep going in circles.  We have got to lay our struggles down at Jesus' feet.  I had a great time worshiping the Creator and I am thankful for the ladies that put it all together!  You did a great job!
